Activity Data (GDF9 (Growth/differentiation factor 9) is an oocyte derived growth factora which belongs to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFbeta) superfamily. GDF9 is required for ovarian folliculogenesis and promotes primordial follicle development. S100A8 has been identified as an interactor of GDF9 through two-hybrid assay, thus a binding ELISA assay was conducted to detect the interaction of recombinant human GDF9 and recombinant human S100A8. Briefly, GDF9 were diluted serially in PBS, with 0.01%BSA (pH 7.4). Duplicate samples of 100uL were then transferred to S100A8-coated microtiter wells and incubated for 2h at 37 degree C. Activity Data (Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is an interleukin that acts as both a pro-inflammatory cytokine and an anti-inflammatory myokine. Current data suggest that direct application of IL-6 on breast cancer cells inhibits proliferation in ER-positive (estrogen- receptor- positive) cells through the Jak/Stat3 pathway. To test the inhibitory effect of IL-6 on proliferation of ER-positive MCF-7 cell line, cells were seeded into triplicate wells of 96-well plates at a density of 5,000 cells/well and allowed to attach overnight, then the medium was replaced with serum-free standard DMEM prior to the addition of various concentrations of IL-6. After incubated for 96h, cells were observed by inverted microscope and cell proliferation was measured by Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8). Activity Data (TNFa (Tumor necrosis factor), is mainly secreted by macrophages and can induce cell death of certain tumor cell lines. It has been reported that TNFa can inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis of A549 cells, besides, the concentration of IL-1beta and IL-8 in cell supernatant will increase after stimulation.
