Related Product Information for anti-Tubulin beta antibody
TUBB1 or tubulin-beta 1 protein is a major constituent of microtubules. TUBB1 interaction with microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs) such as tau is fundamental for microtubule structure and function (1). Previous work suggested that the "microtubule binding domain" of tau (composed of three or four imperfect 18-amino acid repeats, separated by 13-or 14-amino acid inter-repeat regions) can bind to the C-terminal ends of both alpha and beta tubulin monomers. Studies revealed that TUBB1 is the target of various antitubulin agents used in the treatment of cancer. Subsequent studies have also concluded that TUBB1 mutations in clinical samples are rare, and unlikely to contribute to drug resistance (2).

Product Notes

The Tubulin beta (Catalog #AAA516283) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Tubulin beta reacts with Western blot Tubulin B from human, mouse cells Tubulin B from other species may also be detectable. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Tubulin beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 18127:19126 dilution. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Tubulin beta for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tubulin beta, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
