Related Product Information for anti-Itgb5 antibody
Integrins are a/b heterodimeric cell surface receptors that play a pivotal role in cell adhesion and migration, as well as in growth and survival (1,2). The integrin family contains at least 18 a and 8 b subunits that form 24 known integrins having distinct tissue distribution and overlapping ligand specificities (3). Integrins not only transmit signals to cells in response to the extracellular environment (outside-in signaling), but also sense intracellular cues to alter their interaction with extracellular environment (inside-out signaling) (1,2). The aVb5 integrin is expressed in various tissues and cell types, including endothelia, epithelia and fibroblasts (4). It plays a role in matrix adhesion to VN, FN, SPARC and bone sialoprotein (5) and functions in the invasion of gliomas and metastatic carcinoma cells (6,7). aVb5 integrin plays a major role in growth-factor-induced tumor angiogenesis, where cooperative signaling by the aVb5 integrin and growth factors regulates endothelial cell proliferation and survival (8).

Product Notes

The Itgb5 itgb5 (Catalog #AAA617750) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Integrin, beta5 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Integrin, beta5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Itgb5 itgb5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Integrin, beta5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
