Related Product Information for anti-Bcl6 antibody
Short Description: AbFlex antibodies are recombinant antibodies (rAbs) that have been generated using defined DNA sequences to produce highly specific, reproducible antibodies. Each AbFlex antibody contains a 6xHis-tag, a Biotinylation Tag for enzymatic biotin conjugation using the biotin ligase, BirA, and a sortase recognition motif (LPXTG) to attach a variety of labels directly to the antibody including fluorophores, enzymatic substrates (HRP, AP), peptides, drugs as well as solid supports. Our AbFlex Bcl6 antibody (rAb) was raised in a Mouse host. It has been validated for use in Western blot; it has been shown to react with Human samples.

Background: AbFlex antibodies are recombinant antibodies (rAbs) that have been generated using defined DNA sequences to produce highly specific, reproducible antibodies. AbFlex Bcl6 antibody was expressed as full-length IgG with mouse immunoglobulin heavy and light chains (IgG2a isotype) in mammalian 293 cells. Bcl6 (B-cell lymphoma 6 protein, Bcl5, LAZ3, ZBTB27, ZNF51) is sequence-specific transcriptional repressor that is required for the formation of lymph node germinal centers (GC). Bcl6 is a member of the BTB-POZ family of transcriptional regulators and contains six Kruppel-type zinc fingers. The POZ domain in the amino terminus of Bcl6 is involved in the recruitment of corepressor proteins including NCoR, BCoR, SMRT, Mi-2/NURD and several HDACs. Bcl6 promotes proliferative expansion of B-cells in the germinal center through repression of genes regulating cell cycle and differentiation. Bcl6 also suppresses the DNA damage response, to prevent class-switch recombination being repaired. Unregulated expression of Bcl6 is involved in the development of many B-cell lymphomas.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger transcription factor and contains an N-terminal POZ domain. This protein acts as a sequence-specific repressor of transcription, and has been shown to modulate the transcription of START-dependent IL-4 responses of B cells. This protein can interact with a variety of POZ-containing proteins that function as transcription corepressors. This gene is found to be frequently translocated and hypermutated in diffuse large-cell lymphoma (DLCL), and may be involved in the pathogenesis of DLCL. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different protein isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2008]

Uniprot Description

Bcl-6: a zinc finger transcription factor and contains an N-terminal BTB/POZ domain. A sequence-specific repressor of transcription, and has been shown to modulate the transcription of START-dependent IL-4 responses of B cells. Mediates transcriptional repression and interacts with components of histone deacetylase co-repressor complexes including N-CoR and SMRT. The gene is frequently translocated and hypermutated in diffuse large-cell lymphoma (DLCL), and may be involved in the pathogenesis of DLCL.

Product Notes

The Bcl6 bcl6 (Catalog #AAA389499) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AbFlex Bcl6 antibody (rAb) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Bcl6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications Validated: WB: 0.5-2ug/ml AbFlex recombinant antibodies are genetically derived from DNA sequences of parental hybridoma clones. For details on the parental clone. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Bcl6 bcl6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bcl6, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
