Related Product Information for anti-Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4G antibody
The initiation of translation is an important biological event, and a variety of factors contribute to this process. The eIF4 family of translation initiation factors bind to the 5' m7GTP mRNA cap and function to unwind the secondary structure of mRNA (1, 2). The amino-terminal portion of eIF4G physically associates with eIF4E and stimulates the binding of eIF4E to the mRNA cap structure (3). eIF4G also interacts with eIF3 and eIF4A (4), serving as an adaptor molecule in the eIF4 complex. Moreover, eIF4G also plays a role in internal ribosomal entry site (IRES)-mediated initiation of translation (5,6).

Product Notes

The Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4G (Catalog #AAA601812) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4G (eIF4G) reacts with Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4G can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4G for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4G, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
