Related Product Information for PGP active protein
Phosphoglycolate phosphatase, also known as PGP, is detected in all tissues including red cells, lymphocytes and cultured fibroblasts (at protein level). The catalytic activity of PGP is 2-phosphoglycolate + H2O = glycolate + phosphate. The highest activities occur in skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle. Recombinant human PGP protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Plays a role in regulating glucose, lipid and energy metabolism

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PGP, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
