Related Product Information for BMP-2 active protein
Human active form BMP-2 (283-396) was expressed in E Coli cells and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. The protein accession number is NP_001191.1.
BMP-2 is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein family that is part of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily. BMP-2 acts as a disulfide-linked homodimer that induces bone and cartilage formation. BMP2 modulates fibroblast-like synoviocyte cell populations in inflamed synovium (1). BMP2 plays a role in human T-cell differentiation and involve in the long bone formation (2).

Product Notes

The BMP-2 (Catalog #AAA515793) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's BMP-2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BMP-2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BMP-2, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
