TGFB1 or transforming growth factor, beta 1 is a member of the transforming growth factor beta (TGFB) family of cytokines, which are multifunctional peptides that regulate proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, migration, and other functions in many cell types. High levels of TGFB1 protein have been localized in developing cartilage, endochondral and membrane bone, and skin and play a key role in the growth and differentiation of these tissues (1). TGFB1 can upregulate gene expression of its own converting enzyme furin in tumor cells, and mutations in TGFB1 gene result in Camurati-Engelmann disease (2).

Product Notes
The TGFB1 (Catalog #AAA517726) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's TGFB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TGFB1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TGFB1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
