Related Product Information for CXCL17 recombinant protein
Background: Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 17, also known as CXCL17, is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. CXCL17 is a 119 amino acid secreted protein that plays a role in angiogenesis. CXCL17 is expressed in skeletal muscle, trachea, lung, intestine and stomach, and is upregulated in duodenal mucosa of patients with acute cholera, as well as breast tumors. CXCL17 is considered a housekeeping chemokine for the movement of immature dendritic cells and non-activated blood monocytes into tissues, and is thought to be involved in the innate immune response. Recombinant human CXCL17 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli.

Uniprot Description

CXCL17: Plays a role in angiogenesis and possibly in the development of tumors. May be a housekeeping chemokine regulating recruitment of nonactivated blood monocytes and immature dendritic cells into tissues. May play a role in the innate defense against infections. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Product Notes

The CXCL17 cxcl17 (Catalog #AAA844253) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CXCL17 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CXCL17 cxcl17 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MSSLNPGVAR GHRDRGQASR RWLQEGGQEC ECKDWFLRAP RRKFMTVSGL PKKQCPCDHF KGNVKKTRHQ RHHRKPNKHS RACQQFLKQC QLRSFALPL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CXCL17, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
