Related Product Information for BT_1970 assay kit
Product Information: Glutamate Dehydrogenase (GDH) Activity Assay Kit: Colorimetric Assay for Measuring Glutamate Dehydrogenase Activity in various Biological Samples such as Serum, Tissues, Cells etc. Rapid, Convenient & Sensitive. Detection Limit: 0.01mU. 100 Assays.

Background: Glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) is an enzyme that converts glutamate to alpha-Ketoglutarate, and vice versa. It represents a key link between catabolic and metabolic pathways, and is therefore ubiquitous in eukaryotes. MyBioSource's GDH Assay Kit provides a convenient tool for sensitive detection of GDH in a variety of samples. GDH in sample will consume glutamate as a specific substrate and generate NADH stoichiometrically, resulting in a proportional color development. The GDH activity is easily quantified colorimetrically (lambda = 450 nm). This assay detects GDH activity as low as 0.01mU in serum or tissue and cell extracts.

Summary: Detection method- Absorbance (450 nm)
Species reactivity- Mammalian
Application- This assay detects GDH activity as low as 0.01mU in serum or tissue and cell extracts.

Product Notes

The BT_1970 gdha (Catalog #AAA841809) is an Assay Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glutamate Dehydrogenase, Assay Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
