Urokinase inhibitors have potential applications in cancer therapy. MyBioSource's Urokinase Inhibitor Screening Kit utilizes the ability of Urokinase to cleave a synthetic AMC-based peptide substrate to release AMC, which can be detected by measuring its fluorescence at Ex/Em = 350/450 nm. In the presence of the Urokinase specific inhibitors, the enzyme activity is inhibited or completely abolished. This assay kit is a simple, sensitive, and rapid tool to screen potential Urokinase inhibitors.
