Recombinant Antigen
human coxsackievirus B1 VP1 antigen (Ray et al., 1979).
Organism
coxsaskievirus B1 (Tucson) CVB1(T)

HIS
Molecular Weight Information
Determined by SDS-PAGE, the protein band is between molecular markers of 25,000-35,000 Da, while relative molecular mass calculated from amino acid sequence is 26,665.6 Da.
Observation Notes
In some cases, purified proteins run at a molecular weight which is slightly different to the theoretically calculated molecular weight maybe due to the his-tag which can produce a delay in SDS-PAGE. Proteins should be maintained frozen at high concentrations. The dilution to be performed for ELISA assays should be made with a small quantity of protein, the same day of the experiment. In order to defrost the protein, maintain the aliquot at 25 degree C without shaking to avoid aggregation. Prior making test dilutions and after defrost the protein, is recommended to remove possible protein aggregates by centrifuging the stock solution, avoiding alterations in the immobilization of the biomolecule to the solid surface.
Buffer
20 mM phosphate buffer pH 8, 10 mM NaCl, 0.1% polyoxyethylene (10) tridecyl ether, 250 mM imidazol and 6 M urea
Batch Composition
Recombinant antigen with a his-tag in its N-terminus
Storage Buffer
20 mM phosphate buffer pH 8, 10 mM NaCl, 0.1% polyoxyethylene (10) tridecyl ether, 250 mM imidazol and 6 M urea
Reconstitution
For lyophilized proteins: with 0.04 ml of sterile double-distilled water (lot specific) for a final concentration of 1.59 mg/ml (lot specific). The protein will be at pH 8.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized protein is shipped with on ice packs. Upon arrival, it should be stored at 20 degree C to -80 degree C. Aliquot after reconstitution in order to avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles and store at 20 degree C to -80 degree C.

Product Notes

The VP1 (Catalog #AAA505050) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VP1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
