The concentrated antibody requires dilution in the optimized buffer, to the recommended working dilution range.
Note: Performance evaluation has been shown on human tissues only. Variable results may occur due to extended fixation time or special processes of specific tissue preparations.
To ensure proper stability and delivery of the antibody after each run, replace the cap and immediately place the bottle in a refrigerator in an upright position.
Positive and negative controls should be simultaneously run with unknown specimens.
Description: Collagen Type IV is a primary component in the basal lamina that is used as a marker to observe the presence of the lamina and examine its structure. In addition to the epithelial basal lamina, Anti-Collagen Type IV stains mesenchymal components. It is useful for identifying soft tissue cancers including schwannomas and leiomyomas. Anti-Collagen Type IV frequently reacts with these tissues after becoming well-differentiated and malignant. The use of Anti-Collagen Type IV produces more reliable results than non-specific silver reticulum stains when investigating the vascular elements of neoplasms, hemangiopericytoma, angiosarcoma and epithelioid hemangioendothelioma.

Product Notes
The Collagen Type IV (Catalog #AAA344048) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Collagen Type IV reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. The recommended working dilution range is 1:100 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Collagen Type IV for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Collagen Type IV, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
