Mouse TIMP-2 ELISA Kit | TIMP2 elisa kit
Mouse TIMP-2 PicoKine ELISA Kit
Background: TIMP-2 gen is encoded by 5 exons spanning 83 kb of genomic DNA. TIMP-2 is 83 kilobase pairs (kb) long with exon-intron splicing sites located in preserved positions among the three members of the TIMP family. The gene for tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2 is localized on human chromosome arm 17q25. TIMP-2 abrogates angiogenic factor-induced endothelial cell proliferation in vitro and angiogenesis in vivo independent of MMP inhibition. The standard product used in this kit is recombinant human TIMP-2 with the molecular mass of 22Kda and 194 amino acid.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
TIMP2: Complexes with metalloproteinases (such as collagenases) and irreversibly inactivates them by binding to their catalytic zinc cofactor. Known to act on MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-9, MMP-10, MMP-13, MMP-14, MMP-15, MMP-16 and MMP-19. Interacts (via the C-terminal) with MMP2 (via the C- terminal PEX domain); the interaction inhibits the MMP2 activity. Down-regulated by TGFB1. Belongs to the protease inhibitor I35 (TIMP) family.

Product Notes
The Mouse TIMP2 timp2 (Catalog #AAA177341) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA177341 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse TIMP2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TIMP-2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
