Related Product Information for Lta active protein
Recombinant mouse active form TNF-beta (34-end) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. The protein accession number is P09225.
TNF-beta is a member of the tumor necrosis factor cytokine family that are primarily expressed on lymphocytes that control lipid metabolism. TNF-beta is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchor lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. TNF-beta acts as a novel therapeutic route for the treatment of dyslipidemia (1). The presence of TNF-beta accelerates the initiation of immune responses and protects the host from larger viral challenges (2).

Uniprot Description

Cytokine that in its homotrimeric form binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1, TNFRSF1B/TNFBR and TNFRSF14/HVEM. In its heterotrimeric form with LTB binds to TNFRSF3/LTBR. Lymphotoxin is produced by lymphocytes and cytotoxic for a wide range of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo.

Product Notes

The Lta lta (Catalog #AAA515803) is an Active Protein produced from Sf9 cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's TNF-beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Lta lta for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TNF-beta, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
