Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) Active Protein | CTGF active protein
Active Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF)
Bioactivity
(Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF), also known as CCN2 is a matricellular protein of the CCN family of extracellular matrix-associated heparin-binding proteins. CTGF has important roles in many biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, angiogenesis, skeletal development, and tissue wound repair, and is critically involved in fibrotic disease and several forms of cancers. As CTGF has the function of cell adhesion, we measure the activity of recombinant human CTGF by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of Balb/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell. When 5 x 104 cells/well are added to different concentrations of recombinat human CTGF coated plates, cells will adhere after 2 hour incubation at 37 degree C. The adhesion of Balb/3T3 after 2 hour incubation at 37 degree C observed by inverted microscope was shown in Figure 1. Cell adherent was in a dose dependent manner, the result was shown in Figure 2, the EC50 was 0.6 ug/ml.)

Product Notes
The CTGF ctgf (Catalog #AAA161649) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Activity Assay, Cell Culture. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CTGF ctgf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Gln27~Ala3 49. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
