Related Product Information for anti-STEAP1 antibody
The six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate 1 (STEAP1), a member of the STEAP family, is a general tumor antigen that functions as a potential channel or transporter protein. It is overexpressed in certain cancers and is viewed as a promising therapeutic target. STEAP1 is a transmembrane protein of epithelial cells, mostly located at cell-cell junctions, and is overexpressed in several types of tumors, particularly prostate cancer. STEAP1 is located in the plasma membrane of epithelial cells and may play an important role in inter-and intracellular communication. Several studies suggest STEAP1 as a potential biomarker and an immunotherapeutic target for prostate cancer. STEAP1 is a cell surface antigen overexpressed in multiple cancers and is associated with malignancy and disease prognosis.

Product Notes

The STEAP1 (Catalog #AAA8108994) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-STEAP1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's STEAP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IP: 1-5uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STEAP1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STEAP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
