The RWDD4 gene is located on human chromosome 4q35.1. The RWDD4 (Also known as FAM28A; RWDD4A) gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, fruit fly, mosquito, and frog. 244 organisms have orthologs with human gene RWDD4. The RWDD4 protein is ubiquitously expressed in adrenal, ovary and other tissues. The knockdown of RWDD4 inhibits transitional cell carcinoma (TCC), cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. RWDD4 is associated with prostate cancer, bladder cancer and seminal vesicle tumor.
