Related Product Information for anti-PRAME antibody
MAPE is an antigen that is predominantly expressed in human melanomas and that is recognized by cytolytic T lymphocytes. It is not expressed in normal tissues, except testis. This expression pattern is similar to that of other CT antigens, such as MAGE, BAGE and GAGE. However, unlike these other CT antigens, its gene is also expressed in acute leukemias.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an antigen that is preferentially expressed in human melanomas and that is recognized by cytolytic T lymphocytes. It is not expressed in normal tissues, except testis. The encoded protein acts as a repressor of retinoic acid receptor, and likely confers a growth advantage to cancer cells via this function. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014]

Product Notes

The PRAME prame (Catalog #AAA9211992) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 476-502. The MAPE Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MAPE can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry ( FC ), Western Blot ( WB ), Immunohistochemistry-P ( IHC-P ), ELISA ( EIA ). FC~~ 1:25 WB~~1:2000 IHC-P~~ 1:50~100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PRAME prame for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAPE, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
