Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse HDAC5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-HDAC5 antibody
HDAC5 antibody (pAb)
WB: 1-2ug/ml dilution
For optimal results in Western blotting, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all blocking solutions may also reduce background.
Background: HDAC5 (Histone Deacetylase 5) is a member of the class IIa mammalian histone deacetylases (HDACs) involved in regulating chromatin structure during transcription. These enzymes catalyze the removal of acetyl groups from lysine residues of histones and other cellular proteins. Lysine N-epsilon-acetylation is a dynamic, reversible and tightly regulated protein and histone modification that plays a major role in regulation of gene expression in various cellular functions. It consists of the transfer of an acetyl moiety from an acetyl coenzyme A to the e-amino group of a lysine residue. In vivo, acetylation is controlled by the antagonistic activities of histone acetyltransferases (HATs) and histone deacetylases (HDACs). The HDACs are grouped into four classes, on the basis of similarity to yeast counterparts: HDAC class I (HDAC1, HDAC2, HDAC3 and HDAC8), class II (HDAC4, HDAC5, HDAC6, HDAC7, 9 and 10), class III (SIRT1-7) and class IV (HDAC11). Like HDAC4, HDAC5 shuttles between the nucleus and cytoplasm. In muscle cells, this protein shuttles into the cytoplasm during myocyte differentiation. HDAC5 interacts with many different transcription factors including HDAC3, and may form multi-complex proteins.

Product Notes
The HDAC5 (Catalog #AAA388707) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HDAC5 antibody (pAb) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HDAC5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Applications Validated: WB: 1-2ug/ml dilution For optimal results in Western blotting, primary antibody incubations should be performed at room temperature. The addition of 0.1% Tween 20 to all blocking solutions may also reduce background. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HDAC5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HDAC5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
