Related Product Information for anti-CRADD/RAIDD antibody
Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, occurs during normal cellular differentiation and development of multicellular organisms. Apoptosis isinduced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas lig and of the TNFfamily through their death domain (DD)-containing receptors, TNFR1 and Fas. the death signals are transduced by a group of DD-containing adapter molecules.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein containing a death domain (DD) motif. This protein recruits caspase 2/ICH1 to the cell death signal transduction complex, which includes tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1A) and RIPK1/RIP kinase, and acts in promoting apoptosis. A mutation in this gene was associated with cognitive disability. A related pseudogene is found on chromosome 3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]

Uniprot Description

Apoptotic adaptor molecule specific for caspase-2 and FASL/TNF receptor-interacting protein RIP. In the presence of RIP and TRADD, CRADD recruits caspase-2 to the TNFR-1 signalling complex.

Product Notes

The CRADD/RAIDD cradd (Catalog #AAA2401861) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CRADD/RAIDD Antibody (aa1-199) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CRADD/RAIDD can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). IHC-P: 7.5 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CRADD/RAIDD cradd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CRADD/RAIDD, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
