Related Product Information for anti-H-2DbC antibody
The "classical" MHC Class I molecules are histocompatibility antigens encoded by the H-2 gene complex and consist of heterodimers of highly polymorphic alpha chains noncovalently associated with the invariant beta2-microglobulin. These antigens are expressed on most nucleated cells but expression varies on different cell types. MHC Class I molecules present endogenously synthesized peptides to CD8+ T lymphocytes which are usually cytotoxic T cells. MHC Class I antigens expressed on thymic epithelial cells regulate the positive and negative selection of CD8+ T cells during T cell ontogeny. The monoclonal antibody 28-14-8 binds to the alpha3 domain of H-2Db in the presence or absence of beta2 microglobulin. It cross reacts with the alpha3 domain of H-2Ld, but not Kd or Dd, and with H-2Dq and/or Lq. The antibody has been shown to block H-2Ld-specific and H-2Ld-restricted antigen-specific lysis of target cells by cytotoxic T lymphocytes but it does not block recognition of H-2Ld-positive target cells by Ly-6G2-positive NK cells.

Product Notes

The H-2DbC (Catalog #AAA679286) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Anti-Mouse H-2Db-APC reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's H-2DbC can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Blocking (BL), Complement Mediated Cell Depletion. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the H-2DbC for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "H-2DbC, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
