Specificity
OVTL16 recognizes a conformational epitope on ovarian carcinoma membrane antigen OA3 which is present in ovarian carcinomas and in cyst fluids obtained from these carcinomas, as well as in oviductal carcinomas and some endometrial carcinomas.

OVTL16 is a Mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody derived by fusion of SP2/0 Mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from a BALB/c Mouse immunized with cyst fluid, obtained from a patient with a poorly differentiated Human ovarian carcinoma.
