NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Serum endocuclease secreted into body fluids by a wide variety of exocrine and endocrine organs (PubMed:2251263, PubMed:11241278, PubMed:2277032). Expressed by non-hematopoietic tissues and preferentially cleaves protein-free DNA (). Among other functions, seems to be involved in cell death by apoptosis (PubMed:11241278). Binds specifically to G-actin and blocks actin polymerization (). Together with DNASE1L3, plays a key role in degrading neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) (). NETs are mainly composed of DNA fibers and are released by neutrophils to bind pathogens during inflammation (). Degradation of intravascular NETs by DNASE1 and DNASE1L3 is required to prevent formation of clots that obstruct blood vessels and cause organ damage following inflammation ().

Product Notes
The DNase I dnase1 (Catalog #AAA4156483) is an Enzyme and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's DNase I can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Removes DNA from protein preparations and RNA samples Mediates nick translation Generates random fragments for dideoxy sequencing Degrade template DNA following in vitro transcription Mediate DNase I foot-printing. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DNase I dnase1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNase I, Enzyme" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
