Materials Provided
1. Capture Antibody 1 mg/mL of rabbit anti-Rat CD59 monoclonal antibody (in PBS, pH 7.4). Dilute to a working concentration of 2ug/mL in PBS before coating.
2. Detection Antibody 0.2 mg/mL of rabbit anti-Rat CD59 polyclonal antibody conjugated to horseradish-peroxidase (HRP) (in PBS, 50 % HRP-Protector, pH 7.4, store at 4 degree C). Dilute to working concentration of 0.4ug/mL in detection antibody dilution buffer before use.3. Standard Each vial contains 33 ng of recombinant Rat CD59. Reconstitute with 1 mL detection antibody dilution buffer. After reconstitution, store at -20 degree C to -80 degree C in a manual defrost freezer. A seven-point standard curve using 2-fold serial dilutions in sample dilution buffer, and a high standard of 70 pg/mL is recommended.

Related Product Information for CD59 elisa pair set
CD59 glycoprotein, also known as 2 kDa homologous restriction factor, HRF2, MAC-inhibitory protein, Membrane attack complex inhibition factor, Membrane inhibitor of reactive lysis, MIC11, MIRL and CD59, is a cell membrane protein which contains one UPAR/Ly6 domain. CD59 is a small, highly glycosylated, GPI-linked protein, with a wide expression profile. The soluble form of CD59 from urine retains its specific complement binding activity, but exhibits greatly reduced ability to inhibit MAC assembly on cell membranes. CD59 is a potent inhibitor of the complement membrane attack complex (MAC) action. CD59 was first identified as a regulator of the terminal pathway of complement. It acts by binding to the C8 and/or C9 complements of the assembling MAC, thereby preventing incorporation of the multiple copies of C9 required for complete formation of the osmolytic pore. This inhibitor appears to be species-specific. CD59 is involved in signal transduction for T-cell activation complexed to a protein tyrosine kinase. Defects in CD59 are the cause of CD59 deficiency (CD59D).

This CD59 Matched ELISA Antibody Pair Set, Rat is a solid phase sandwich ELISA for quantitative determination of Rat CD59. It contains Rat CD59 capture antibody, Rat CD59 detector antibody (HRP) and a highly purified HEK293-expressed recombinant Rat CD59 protein.

Product Notes

The CD59 (Catalog #AAA8118541) is an ELISA Pair Set and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD59, ELISA Pair Set" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
