Related Product Information for IL-1alpha/IL-1F1 active protein
IL-1 alpha /IL-1F1, also known as hematopoietin 1 is a cytokine of the interleukin 1 family. IL-1alpha is a unique member in the cytokine family in the sense that the structure of its initially synthesized precursor does not contain a signal peptide fragment. In general, Interleukin 1 is responsible for the production of inflammation, as well as the promotion of fever and sepsis. IL-1 alpha inhibitors are being developed to interrupt those processes and treat diseases. IL-1 alpha is produced mainly by activated macrophages, as well as neutrophils, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells. It possesses metabolic, physiological, haematopoietic activities, and plays one of the central roles in the regulation of the immune responses. Although IL-1 production is generally considered to be a consequence of inflammation, recent evidence suggests that IL-1 is also temporarily upregulated during bone formation and the menstrual cycle and can be induced in response to nervous system stimulation. Recombinant canine IL-1 alpha /IL-1F1, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Uniprot Description

Produced by activated macrophages, IL-1 stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL-1 proteins are involved in the inflammatory response, being identified as endogenous pyrogens, and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells ().

Product Notes

The IL-1alpha/IL-1F1 il1a (Catalog #AAA201289) is an Active Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 109-265aa. AAA Biotech's IL-1 alpha/IL-1F1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Bioactivity. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-1alpha/IL-1F1 il1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: SVAYN FH NNEKYNYIRI IKSQFILNDN LNQSIVRQTG GNYLMTAALQ NLDDAVKFDM GAYTSEDSKL PVTLRISKTR LFVSAQNEDE PVLLKEMPET PKTIRDETNL LFFWERHGSK HYFKSVAQPK LFIATQERKL VHMARGQPSI TDFRLLETQP . It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-1 alpha/IL-1F1, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
