Related Product Information for IL-1ra/IL-1F3 active protein
Interleukin 1 receptor antagonist (IL1RN), also known as IL1-RA, is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL1RN may represent a reservoir of IL-1 inhibitors, released upon cell death, whose function is no limit the pro-inflammatory signals but most prominently by mononuclear phagocytes and keratinocytes. IL1RN is reported to be associated with increased risk of osteoporotic fractures and gastric cancer. Recombinant mouse IL1RN protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Uniprot Description

IL1RN: Inhibits the activity of interleukin-1 by binding to receptor IL1R1 and preventing its association with the coreceptor IL1RAP for signaling. Has no interleukin-1 like activity. Binds functional interleukin-1 receptor IL1R1 with greater affinity than decoy receptor IL1R2; however, the physiological relevance of the latter association is unsure. The intracellular form of IL1RN is predominantly expressed in epithelial cells. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The IL-1ra/IL-1F3 il1rn (Catalog #AAA201149) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 27-178aa. AAA Biotech's IL-1ra/IL-1F3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Bioactivity. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-1ra/IL-1F3 il1rn for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSHM RPSGK RPCKMQAFRI WDTNQKTFYL RNNQLIAGYL QGPNIKLEEK IDMVPIDLHS VFLGIHGGKL CLSCAKSGDD IKLQLEEVNI TDLSKNKEED KRFTFIRSEK GPTTSFESAA CPGWFLCTTL EADRPVSLTN TPEEPLIVTK FYFQEDQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-1ra/IL-1F3, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
