Related Product Information for OX40/TNFRSF4 active protein
TNFRSF4, also known as tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 4, is a T cell co-stimulatory molecule in the TNF receptor superfamily. This protein coordinates with other co-stimulatory substances (CD28, CD40, CD30, CD27 and 4-1BB) to control the activation of the immune response. It plays an important role in antigen-specific T cell expansion and survival. It is up-regulated on CD4+ and CD8+ T cells upon engagement of the TCR by antigen presenting cells along with co-stimulation by CD40-CD40 Ligand and CD28-B7. This protein also regulates cytokine production from T cells, antigen presenting cells, natural killer cells and natural killer cells and regulate cytokine receptor signaling. Recombinant human TNFRSF4, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor has been shown to activate NF-kappaB through its interaction with adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this receptor promotes the expression of apoptosis inhibitors BCL2 and BCL2lL1/BCL2-XL, and thus suppresses apoptosis. The knockout studies also suggested the roles of this receptor in CD4+ T cell response, as well as in T cell-dependent B cell proliferation and differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

The immunogen sequence is 29-214aa. AAA Biotech's OX40/TNFRSF4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Bioactivity. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the OX40/TNFRSF4 tnfrsf4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: LHCVGDTYPS NDRCCHECRP GNGMVSRCSR SQNTVCRPCG PGFYNDVVSS KPCKPCTWCN LRSGSERKQL CTATQDTVCR CRAGTQPLDS YKPGVDCAPC PPGHFSPGDN QACKPWTNCT LAGKHTLQPA SNSSDAICED RDPPATQPQE TQGPPARPIT VQPTEAWPRT SQGPSTRPVE VPGGRA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "OX40/TNFRSF4, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
