Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for PLXND1 elisa kit
Description: This Human Plexin-D1 (PLXND1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate PLXND1 in samples. An antibody specific for PLXND1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any PLXND1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for PLXND1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PLXND1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Tamagnone et al. (1999) identified the cDNA sequence of a novel member of the plexin gene family and named the gene plexin D1. Plxnd1 was expressed by embryonic vascular endothelial cells. Expression was robust in endocardium, intersomitic vessels, pulmonary vasculature, aorta, and pharyngeal arch arteries. In adult mice, Plxnd1 was expressed in heart, brain, lung, kidney, and testis, consistent with broad expression in endothelial cells. Human vascular endothelial cells also expressed PLXND1. Gitler et al. (2004) demonstrated that mouse Plxnd1 heterodimerized with Npn1 to form a functional Sema3C receptor. Binding of Sema3A and Sema3C to COS cells expressing Npn1 was enhanced by cotransfection of Plxnd1. Plxnd1 also enhanced binding of Sema3C to Npn2.

Uniprot Description

Cell surface receptor for SEMA4A and for class 3 semaphorins, such as SEMA3A, SEMA3C and SEMA3E. Plays an important role in cell-cell signaling, and in regulating the migration of a wide spectrum of cell types. Regulates the migration of thymocytes in the medulla. Regulates endothelial cell migration. Plays an important role in ensuring the specificity of synapse formation. Required for normal development of the heart and vasculature (). Mediates anti-angiogenic signaling in response to SEMA3E.

Product Notes

The Human PLXND1 plxnd1 (Catalog #AAA9716018) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9716018 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PLXND1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Plexin-D1 (PLXND1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
