Related Product Information for HEMK1 recombinant protein
Description: Recombinant full-length human HEMK1 protein was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag.
Scientific Background: HEMK1 belongs to the HemK methyltransferase family, members of which are found in genomes from bacteria to humans (1). HEMK1 methylates the glutamine residue in the GGQ motif of HMRF1L, a human mitochondrial release factor, and plays an important regulatory role in translation termination process (2).

Product Notes

The HEMK1 hemk1 (Catalog #AAA515508) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Full-length. AAA Biotech's HEMK1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Methyltransferase Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HEMK1 hemk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HEMK1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
