Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for TNFRSF9 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TNFRSF9 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TNFRSF9 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TNFRSF9 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor contributes to the clonal expansion, survival, and development of T cells. It can also induce proliferation in peripheral monocytes, enhance T cell apoptosis induced by TCR/CD3 triggered activation, and regulate CD28 co-stimulation to promote Th1 cell responses. The expression of this receptor is induced by lymphocyte activation. TRAF adaptor proteins have been shown to bind to this receptor and transduce the signals leading to activation of NF-kappaB. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Human TNFRSF9 tnfrsf9 (Catalog #AAA903990) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA903990 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TNFRSF9. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 9, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
