Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays)
3 samples with low, middle and high level Triglyceride (TG) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.

Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for TG elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Triglyceride (TG) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Triglyceride (TG) and unlabeled Triglyceride (TG) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Triglyceride (TG). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Triglyceride (TG) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Triglyceride (TG) in the sample.

NCBI Description

LIPC encodes hepatic triglyceride lipase, which is expressed in liver. LIPC has the dual functions of triglyceride hydrolase and ligand/bridging factor for receptor-mediated lipoprotein uptake. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

LIPC: Hepatic lipase has the capacity to catalyze hydrolysis of phospholipids, mono-, di-, and triglycerides, and acyl-CoA thioesters. It is an important enzyme in HDL metabolism. Hepatic lipase binds heparin. Defects in LIPC are the cause of hepatic lipase deficiency (HL deficiency). A disorder characterized by elevated levels of beta-migrating very low density lipoproteins, and abnormally triglyceride-rich low and high density lipoproteins. Belongs to the AB hydrolase superfamily. Lipase family.

Product Notes

The General TG lipc (Catalog #AAA2033661) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2033661 ELISA Kit recognizes General TG. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Triglyceride, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
