Background: Wnt inhibitory factor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the WIF1 gene. The protein encoded by this gene functions to inhibit WNT proteins, which are extracellular signaling molecules that play a role in embryonic development. Additionally, this protein contains a WNT inhibitory factor (WIF) domain and five epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like domains, and is thought to be involved in mesoderm segmentation. This gene functions as a tumor suppressor gene, and has been found to be epigenetically silenced in various cancers.
Principle: Rat WIF1 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from Mouse specific for WIF1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: G29-W379) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for WIF1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substRate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Rat WIF1 amount of sample captured in plate.

Product Notes
The Rat WIF1 wif1 (Catalog #AAA178750) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA178750 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat WIF1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WIF1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
