Related Product Information for FATP4 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- FATP4 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-FATP4 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the FATP4 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of FATP4 can be calculated.

Uniprot Description

SLC27A4: Involved in translocation of long-chain fatty acids (LFCA) across the plasma membrane. Appears to be the principal fatty acid transporter in small intestinal enterocytes. Plays a role in the formation of the epidermal barrier. Required for fat absorption in early embryogenesis. Has acyl-CoA ligase activity for long-chain and very-long-chain fatty acids. Defects in SLC27A4 are the cause of ichthyosis prematurity syndrome (IPS). A keratinization disorder characterized by complications in the second trimester of pregnancy resulting from polyhydramnion, with premature birth of a child with thick caseous desquamating epidermis, respiratory complications and transient eosinophilia. After recovery during the first months of life, the symptoms are relatively benign and the patients suffer from a lifelong non-scaly ichthyosis with atopic manifestations. Belongs to the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme family.

Product Notes

The Rat FATP4 slc27a4 (Catalog #AAA7606148) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7606148 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat FATP4. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FATP4 (FATP4), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
