Related Product Information for anti-UBE2T antibody
Function: Accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. Catalyzes monoubiquitination. Involved in mitomycin-C (MMC)-induced DNA repair. Acts as a specific E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme for the Fanconi anemia complex by associating with E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase FANCL and catalyzing monoubiquitination of FANCD2, a key step in the DNA damage pathway (PubMed:16916645, PubMed:17938197, PubMed:19111657, PubMed:19589784, PubMed:28437106). Also mediates monoubiquitination of FANCL and FANCI (PubMed:16916645, PubMed:17938197, PubMed:19111657, PubMed:19589784). May contribute to ubiquitination and degradation of BRCA1 (PubMed:19887602). In vitro able to promote polyubiquitination using all 7 ubiquitin Lys residues, but may prefer 'Lys-11'-, 'Lys-27'-, 'Lys-48'-and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitination (PubMed:20061386).
Subunit Structure: Directly interacts with FANCL (PubMed:16916645, PubMed:17938197, PubMed:19111657, PubMed:21775430, PubMed:24389026). Interacts with BRCA1 (PubMed:19887602).
Post-translational Modifications: Auto-ubiquitinated. Effects of auto-monoubiquitination at Lys-91 and Lys-182 are unclear: according to a report, monoubiquitination inactivates E2 enzyme activity (PubMed:16916645). In contrast, according to another report, autoubiquitination does not affect E2 enzyme activity (PubMed:19111657).
Similarity: Belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the covalent attachment of ubiquitin to protein substrates. Defects in this gene have been associated with Fanconi anemia of complementation group T. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]

Product Notes

The UBE2T ube2t (Catalog #AAA9606055) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The UBE2T Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's UBE2T can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UBE2T ube2t for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UBE2T, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
