Related Product Information for anti-STX7 antibody
Description: May be involved in protein trafficking from the plasma membrane to the early endosome (EE) as well as in homotypic fusion of endocytic organelles. Mediates the endocytic trafficking from early endosomes to late endosomes and lysosomes.

Subunit Structure: Forms a SNARE complex with VTI1B, STX8 and VAMP8 which functions in the homotypic fusion of late endosomes. Component of the SNARE complex composed of STX7, STX8, VAMP7 and VTI1B that is required for heterotypic fusion of late endosomes with lysosomes (By similarity). Interacts with VPS11, VPS16 and VPS18. Interacts with VPS33A.

Similarity: Belongs to the syntaxin family.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a syntaxin family membrane receptor involved in vesicle transport. The encoded protein binds alpha-SNAP, an important regulator of transport vesicle fusion. Along with syntaxin 13, this protein plays a role in the ordered fusion of endosomes and lysosomes with the phagosome. [provided by RefSeq, May 2016]

Uniprot Description

STX7: May be involved in protein trafficking from the plasma membrane to the early endosome (EE) as well as in homotypic fusion of endocytic organelles. Mediates the endocytic trafficking from early endosomes to late endosomes and lysosomes. Belongs to the syntaxin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The STX7 stx7 (Catalog #AAA9611513) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Syntaxin7 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted: Pig, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Syntaxin7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STX7 stx7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Syntaxin7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
