Related Product Information for anti-STAT1 antibody
Rabbit anti STAT1 antibody recognizes signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1), a member of the STAT protein family, which plays an important role in cell growth, survival differentiation and transformation, transducing signals from cytokine receptors to the nucleus. STAT1 is tyrosine phosphorylated by members of the Janus kinase (JAK) family in response to cytokines and growth factor stimulation. Phosphorylation results in STAT activation and the formation of STAT1 homo- or STAT2/STAT1, STAT3/STAT1 and STAT4/STAT1 heterodimers. STAT dimers translocate from the cytoplasm to the nucleus where they act as transcription factors. Deregulated JAK/STAT signaling has been implicated in a variety of cancers; STATs can regulate the tumor microenvironment and trigger a shift from cancer inhibition to promotion.

Uniprot Description

STAT1: transcription factor of the STAT family. Phosphorylated and activated by receptor-associated kinases downstream of certain receptor tyrosine kinases, GPCRs, and receptors for various interleukins and interferons. Forms homo- or heterodimers that translocate into the nucleus where they regulate transcription. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The STAT1 stat1 (Catalog #AAA224861) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI STAT1 reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's STAT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 0.5; 4.0 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STAT1 stat1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STAT1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
