Rabbit anti-Human NFkB p100 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-NFkBp100 antibody
NFkB p100 antibody (pAb)
WB: 1:500-1:2,000 dilution
The addition of 0.05% Tween 20 in the blocking buffer and primary antibody incubation buffer is recommended to aid in detection by Western blot.
Background: NFkB p100 (Nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p100 subunit also known as NFkB2 p100) is a member of the NFkB family of transcription factors that are involved in processes such as inflammation, immunity, differentiation, cell growth, tumorigenesis and apoptosis. The family also includes c-Rel, RelA (NFkB p65, NFkB3) and RelB (I-Rel). Rel proteins form dimers with the NFkB p50 (proteolytically processed from p105/NFkB1) and p52 (proteolytically processed from p100/NFkB2) members of the NFkB family that bind DNA and activate transcription. The NFkB p65/p50 heterodimer is the most abundant form of NFkB. NFkB signaling is negatively regulated by the sequestration of the NFkB complex in the cytoplasm by its association with the IkB family of inhibitory proteins. The IkB Kinase (IKK) complex is the key enzyme involved in the activation and translocation of NFkB. The IKK complex is composed of two catalytic subunits (IKKa and IKKb) and a regulatory subunit (IKKg). Upon its activation, the IKK complex phosphorylates IkB proteins (IkBa, IkBa phospho Ser32, 36), which marks them for ubiquitination and degradation. This enables the NFkB complex to translocate to the nucleus where it regulates transcription by binding to DNA.

Product Notes
The NFkBp100 (Catalog #AAA388541) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NFkB p100 antibody (pAb) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NFkB p100 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications Validated: WB: 1:500-1:2,000 dilution The addition of 0.05% Tween 20 in the blocking buffer and primary antibody incubation buffer is recommended to aid in detection by Western blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NFkBp100 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NFkB p100, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
