Related Product Information for anti-ILKAP antibody
Protein phosphatase that may play a role in regulation of cell cycle progression via dephosphorylation of its substrates whose appropriate phosphorylation states might be crucial for cell proliferation. Selectively associates with integrin linked kinase (ILK), to modulate cell adhesion and growth factor signaling. Inhibits the ILK-GSK3B signaling axis and may play an important role in inhibiting oncogenic transformation

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a protein serine/threonine phosphatase of the PP2C family. This protein can interact with integrin-linked kinase (ILK/ILK1), a regulator of integrin mediated signaling, and regulate the kinase activity of ILK. Through the interaction with ILK, this protein may selectively affect the signaling process of ILK-mediated glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3beta), and thus participate in Wnt signaling pathway. Uniprot Description

ILKAP: a protein serine/threonine phosphatase of the PP2C family. Can interact with integrin-linked kinase (ILK/ILK1), a regulator of integrin mediated signaling, and regulate the kinase activity of ILK. Through the interaction with ILK, this protein may selectively affect the signaling process of ILK-mediated glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3beta), and thus participate in Wnt signaling pathway. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Protein phosphatase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; EC 3.1.3.16

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q37.3

Cellular Component: cytoplasm

Molecular Function: protein binding; metal ion binding; protein serine/threonine phosphatase activity

Biological Process: protein amino acid dephosphorylation; regulation of DNA replication during S phase

Product Notes

The ILKAP ilkap (Catalog #AAA9450647) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Integrin-Linked Kinase-Associated Serine/Threonine Phosphatase 2C Polyclonal Conjugated Antibody reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Integrin-Linked Kinase-Associated Serine/Threonine Phosphatase 2C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Most Applications. Suggested Dilution: AF350 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF405 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF488 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF555 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF594 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF647 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF680 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF750 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 Biotin conjugated: working with enzyme-conjugated streptavidin, most applications: 1:50-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ILKAP ilkap for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Integrin-Linked Kinase-Associated Serine/Threonine Phosphatase 2C, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
