Related Product Information for anti-EPAC1 antibody
EPAC1, also known as Rap guanine nuclear exchange factor 3 and cAMPGEF-I, is widely expressed but most prominently in brain, heart, kidney, pancreas, spleen, ovary, thyroid and spinal cord. EPAC1 is a cAMP-binding protein with intrinsic guanine nuclear exchange factor activity that couples cAMP production to the activation of Rap, a GTPase belonging to the Ras family. This activation of Rap influences numerous cellular processes such as integrin-mediated cell adhesion, vascular endothelial barrier formation, and cardiac myocyte gap junction formation. Recently, EPAC1 has been suggested to also be involved in the cAMP-dependent regulation of ion channel formation, intracellular Ca++ signalling, ion transporter activity, and exocytosis.

Product Notes

The EPAC1 rapgef3 (Catalog #AAA9410538) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The EPAC1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EPAC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EPAC1 rapgef3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EPAC1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
