Related Product Information for anti-DGKH antibody
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against DGKH. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.

Target Description: DGKH is a member of the diacylglycerol kinase (DGK) enzyme family of proteins, specifically the type II DGK subfamily. Members of this family are involved in regulating the intracellular concentrations of diacylglycerol and phosphatidic acid. This gene encodes a member of the diacylglycerol kinase (DGK) enzyme family of proteins, specifically the type II DGK subfamily. Members of this family are involved in regulating the intracellular concentrations of diacylglycerol and phosphatidic acid. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the diacylglycerol kinase (DGK) enzyme family. Members of this family are involved in regulating intracellular concentrations of diacylglycerol and phosphatidic acid. Variation in this gene has been associated with bipolar disorder. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]

Uniprot Description

DGKH: Phosphorylates diacylglycerol (DAG) to generate phosphatidic acid (PA). Plays a key role in promoting cell growth. Activates the Ras/B-Raf/C-Raf/MEK/ERK signaling pathway induced by EGF. Regulates the recruitment of RAF1 and BRAF from cytoplasm to membranes and their heterodimerization. Belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Lipid Metabolism - glycerolipid; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Kinase, other; EC 2.7.1.107; Lipid Metabolism - glycerophospholipid

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q14.11

Cellular Component: nuclear membrane; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; nucleus; endosome

Molecular Function: metal ion binding; diacylglycerol kinase activity; ATP binding; NAD+ kinase activity

Biological Process: platelet activation; protein kinase C activation; blood coagulation; phosphorylation; protein oligomerization

Product Notes

The DGKH dgkh (Catalog #AAA3207896) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DGKH antibody - middle region reacts with Dog, Horse, Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DGKH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DGKH dgkh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: EPANQSSDYD STETDESKEE AKDDGAKESI TVKTAPRSPD ARASYGHSQT. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DGKH, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
