Related Product Information for anti-CD194 antibody
Rabbit anti mouse CD194 antibody recognizes mouse CD194, otherwise known as CCR4, C-C chemokine receptor type 4, C-C CKR-4or Cmkbr4. CD194 is a 360 amino acid ~42kDa transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, preferentially expressed by CD4+ Th2 (type 2 helper T) cells, which acts as a high affinity receptor for the chemokines MDC (macrophage-derived chemokine), MCP-1, MIP-1, RANTES and TARC. Rabbit anti mouse CD194 polyclonal antibody is reported as suitable for use in immunocytochemistry on human peripheral blood leucocytes or Jurkat cells.

Uniprot Description

CCR4: High affinity receptor for the C-C type chemokines CCL17/TARC and CCL22/MDC. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G(i) proteins which activate a phosphatidylinositol- calcium second messenger system. Can function as a chemoattractant homing receptor on circulating memory lymphocytes and as a coreceptor for some primary HIV-2 isolates. In the CNS, could mediate hippocampal-neuron survival. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR

Cellular Component: membrane; cell soma; plasma membrane; integral to membrane; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; signal transducer activity; C-C chemokine receptor activity; chemokine receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; positive regulation of positive chemotaxis; neuron migration; immune response; chemotaxis; inflammatory response; signal transduction; tolerance induction

Product Notes

The CD194 ccr4 (Catalog #AAA223660) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD194 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen, ELISA (EIA), Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: This product is suitable for use in indirect ELISA applications. Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x106 cells in 100ul. Immunohistology - Frozen: Maximum Dilution: 1/300 ELISA: Maximum Dilution: 1/50000 Flow Cytometry: Maximum Dilution: 1/20 Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 1/1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD194 ccr4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD194, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
