Related Product Information for anti-CD192 antibody
Goat anti Human CD192 antibody recognizes an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of human CD192, otherwise known as CCR2 (C-C chemokine receptor type 2), a transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, which acts as a receptor for the chemokines MCP-1 (monocyte chemoattractant protein 1), MCP-3 and MCP-4. Interaction between CD192 and MCP-1 initiates chemotactic responses, through an increase in intracellular calcium levels. CD192 acts as a co-receptor with CD4 for HIV1 infection, and variations in CD192 are associated with relative resistance to HIV1.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes two isoforms of a receptor for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, a chemokine which specifically mediates monocyte chemotaxis. Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 is involved in monocyte infiltration in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis as well as in the inflammatory response against tumors. The receptors encoded by this gene mediate agonist-dependent calcium mobilization and inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. This gene is located in the chemokine receptor gene cluster region. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants are expressed by the gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

Uniprot Description

CCR2: a seven transmembrane protein closely related to CCR1. Receptor for the MCP-1, MCP-3 and MCP-4 chemokines. Expressed at high levels in primary neutrophils and primary monocytes, and is further upregulated on neutrophil activation and during monocyte to macrophage differentiation. Transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Alternative co receptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The CD192 ccr2 (Catalog #AAA223917) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD192 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistology Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). ELISA: This product is suitable for use in indirect ELISA applications. ELISA: Maximum Dilution: 1/30000 Immunohistology - Paraffin: Maximum Dilution: 1/100 Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 1/500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD192 ccr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD192, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
