NCBI Description

expressed in skeletal muscle [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

N-CoR1: is a protein that regulates the activity of some transcription factors, including nuclear receptors, by promoting histone deacetylation and chromatin condensation, thereby altering the accessibility of various genes to the transcriptional machinery. Is known to play a role genetic programming including that for myogenesis. Is a component of a large corepressor complex that contains SIN3A/B and histone deacetylases HDAC1 and HDAC2. This complex associates with the thyroid and the retinoic acid receptors in the absence of ligand. Interacts with the catalytic domain of HDAC9. Increased expression correlates with the loss of vitamin D responsiveness in aggressive androgen-independent prostate cancer cells. Its gene tends to be overexpressed in multiple-myeloma cell lines.

Product Notes

The Rat NCOR1 ncor1 (Catalog #AAA9326714) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9326714 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat NCOR1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "nuclear receptor co-repressor 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
