Intended Uses: For detection of Fibronectin in mouse serum, plasma, body fl uids, tissue Iysates or cell culture supernatants. For resea rch use on ly,

Principle of the Assay: This kit is based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- Fibronectin polyclonal antibody is pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti- Fibronectin polyclonal antibody is used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is cata lyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Fibronectin amount of sample captured in plate. Read the 0.0. absorbance at 4S0nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Fibronectin can be ca lculated.

Background/Introduction: Fibronectin is a high-molecular weight (-440kDa) glycoprotein of the extracellular metri x. belongs to a fam ily of high molecular weight glycoproteins that are present on cell surfaces, in extracellular flu ids. connective tissues, and basement membranes. Two major forms of fibronectin exist: a plasma soluble form and a, cellul ar form. It plays a major role in cell adhesion, growth. migration, and differentiation, and it is important for processes such as wound healing and embryonic development. Fibronectin has been implicated in carcinoma development, and also acts as a potential biomarker for radioresistance.

Uniprot Description

Fibronectins bind cell surfaces and various compounds including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin. Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, cell motility, opsonization, wound healing, and maintenance of cell shape. May be involved in osteoblast compaction ().

Product Notes

The Mouse fn1 fn1 (Catalog #AAA494774) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA494774 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse fn1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibronectin, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
