Rat anti-Mouse MBL-C Monoclonal Antibody | anti-Mbl2 antibody
MBL-C (Mannose-binding Protein C, Mannan-binding Protein, RA-reactive Factor P28A Subunit, RARF/P28A, Mbl2)
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Dilution: ELISA: 1ug/ml TBS/Tween-20/Ca
Immunofluorescence: Hyphae of C. albicans were fixed on poly-l-lysin coated slides with ice-cold aceton. Slides were incubated for 1h at RT
Immunohistochemistry (frozen): (7um) of mouse tissue were acetone fixed and stained o/n at 4 degree C in TBS/2% goat serum
Western Blot: On a 12% non-reducing SDS-PAGE a prominent band of ca. 50kD is detected. Under reducing conditions a 26kD band is detected
Testing Data
(MBL-C deposition in developing murine atherosclerotic lesions following 10 weeks of high fat feeding. MBL-C was detected in and around invading macrophages invading the intima (insert). MBL-C bound, similar to MBL-A, at sites of necrosis (upper right corner). No MBL-C binding was shown in the media or on fibrous caps covering the thickened intima.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
MBL2: Calcium-dependent lectin involved in innate immune defense. Binds mannose, fucose and N-acetylglucosamine on different microorganisms and activates the lectin complement pathway. Binds to late apoptotic cells, as well as to apoptotic blebs and to necrotic cells, but not to early apoptotic cells, facilitating their uptake by macrophages. May bind DNA.
Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide
Cellular Component: extracellular space; collagen; extracellular region
Molecular Function: mannose binding; protease binding; protein self-association; galactose binding; calcium ion binding; carbohydrate binding; calcium-dependent protein binding; receptor binding
Biological Process: defense response to Gram-positive bacterium; killing by host of symbiont cells; immune system process; positive regulation of phagocytosis; innate immune response; complement activation, lectin pathway; complement activation, classical pathway; negative regulation of viral reproduction

Product Notes
The Mbl2 mbl2 (Catalog #AAA6008828) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBL-C (Mannose-binding Protein C, Mannan-binding Protein, RA-reactive Factor P28A Subunit, RARF/P28A, Mbl2) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MBL-C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1ug/ml TBS/Tween-20/Ca Immunofluorescence: Hyphae of C. albicans were fixed on poly-l-lysin coated slides with ice-cold aceton. Under reducing conditions a 26kD band is detected. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Mbl2 mbl2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MBL-C, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
