Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot using anti-Lewis a,b antibody HEA164 (MBS488694) Human colorectal carcinoma tissue lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer) was resolved on a SDS PAGE gel and blots were probed with the chimeric rabbit version of HEA164 () at 0.001ug/ml before detection using an anti-rabbit secondary antibody. A primary incubation of 1h was used and protein was detected by chemiluminescence.)

Applicable Applications for anti-Lewis a,b antibody
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP)
Application Notes
This antibody has applications in the detection of normal and neoplastic epithelial cells. This antibody has been shown to react with a glycolipid fraction isolated from colon carcinoma tissue, with no effect of pronase E addition on its reactivity (Moldenhauer et al, 1987). This antibody, when immobilised on the wall of a shear chamber, has been shown to support slow leukocyte rolling (Chen et al, 1997).
Chimeric Use Statement
This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgM format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.

Product Notes

The Lewis a,b (Catalog #AAA488695) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Lewis a,b [HEA164] reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Lewis a,b can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Lewis a,b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lewis a,b, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
