Related Product Information for anti-c-erbB2, p185 antibody
c-erbB-2 is a membrane-associated oncoprotein having considerable sequence homology to EGFR. C-erbB-2 is the second member of the EGF receptor tyrosine kinase family of growth factor receptors. Overexpression of c-erbB-2/HER-2 is reportedly a marker of poor prognosis in node-positive and in defined subsets of node-negative breast cancer. Elevated levels of c-erbB-2/HER-2 has also been implicated in response to chemotherapy.

Product Notes

The c-erbB2, p185 (Catalog #AAA601205) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The c-erbB2, p185 (HER2, neu Receptor) (BSA & Azide Free) reacts with Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's c-erbB2, p185 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation(native and denatured), Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Immunoprecipitation: Use Protein G; 2ug antibody/mg protein lysate. Western Blot: 0.5-1.0ug/ml for 2 hours RT. Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:750; Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the c-erbB2, p185 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "c-erbB2, p185, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
