Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for SIRPB1 elisa kit
Description: This Human Signal-regulatory protein beta-1 (SIRPB1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate SIRPB1 in samples. An antibody specific for SIRPB1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any SIRPB1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for SIRPB1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SIRPB1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Signal-regulatory protein beta 1 is a member of the signal-regulatory-protein (SIRP) family, and also belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. SIRP family members are receptor-type transmembrane glycoproteins known to be involved in the negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinase-coupled signaling processes. This protein was found to interact with TYROBP/DAP12, a protein bearing immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs. This protein was also reported to participate in the recruitment of tyrosine kinase SYK. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. The signal regulatory protein-beta1 (SIRPbeta1) is a DAP12-associated transmembrane receptor expressed in a subset of hematopoietic cells. Recently, it was shown that peritoneal macrophages express SIRPbeta1, which positively regulated phagocytosis.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the signal-regulatory-protein (SIRP) family, and also belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]

Uniprot Description

SIRPB1: Immunoglobulin-like cell surface receptor involved in the negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinase-coupled signaling processes. Participates also in the recruitment of tyrosine kinase SYK. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Human SIRPB1 sirpb1 (Catalog #AAA9714321) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714321 ELISA Kit recognizes Human SIRPB1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Signal-Regulatory Protein beta-1 (SIRPB1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
