Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

c-erbB-2 is a membrane-associated oncoprotein having considerable sequence homology to EGFR. C-erbB-2 is the second member of the EGF receptor tyrosine kinase family of growth factor receptors. Overexpression of c-erbB-2/HER-2 is reportedly a marker of poor prognosis in node-positive and in defined subsets of node-negative breast cancer.
